With over 700 volunteers spread out across Minnesota and, indeed, throughout the United States, you can see that volunteers are truly the lifeblood of SSB's Communication Center. Without them, we could not produce three quarters of a million pages of braille each year, record nearly 1,000 books onto cassette tape, prepare and record hours of programming for the Radio Talking Book or repair thousands of cassette tape machines.

Because there is so much to do, we are always looking for new volunteers to help out. If you are interested in reading, brailling, or repairing electronic devices, please click on one of the links below for more information.

• I am interested in reading for Radio Talking Book or recording textbooks.
• I am interested in becoming a typist or certified braille transcriber so I can put books or documents into braille.
• I am interested in repairing or cleaning cassette tape machines and other small electronic devices.
